I think Holiday might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to All White Everythang by: Young Jeezy. Couture is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Day of Victory. Manny Holiday has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holiday throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Holiday shoots in for a takedown but Couture shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Couture scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Manny Holiday has been cut.
Couture will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Holiday throws a right hand that Couture ducks under and follows up with a left that Couture also avoids with ease.
Couture swats away the attempt to clinch by Holiday.
Couture misses with a double jab.

Holiday wants to clinch but Couture slips to the side
and Couture counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Holiday gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Holiday takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Holiday shoots in looking for a takedown. Couture tries to sprawl out of it but Holiday keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Couture manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manny Holiday. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Holiday counters with a three punch combo that has Couture backing up. Couture nods at Holiday to acknowledge the strikes.
Holiday shoots for a takedown but Couture saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Holiday fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Holiday keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Couture takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Couture counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Couture falls off balance throwing a combination

and Holiday counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Holiday.
Holiday has Couture pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Couture manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Couture breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Couture looks to land a combination but Holiday avoids it well.

and Couture counters with a crisp one two that drops Holiday! Couture thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Holiday to his feet! Holiday is in big trouble!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Holiday tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Couture counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Holiday shoots in but no luck this time.

Couture feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Holiday sprawling to the canvas! Holiday rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Couture finish him?!
Oh Holiday is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jeez, Manny Holiday's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
