The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flats scores with a shot to the body.
Roa doesn't manage to clinch there - Flats circles away.
Roa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Flats pinned against the cage. Flats gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Flats fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Flats looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Flats tries to clinch up

and Roa holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Flats is trying to break the clinch but Roa has him pressed against the cage.
Flats can't break the clinch.
Flats wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Roa breaks the clinch.
Roa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Roa gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Roa manages to break the clinch.
Roa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Flats manages to avoid it.
Roa throws a right and a left that both miss.
Flats avoids the head kick by Roa.
Roa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Flats swivels and escapes.

Roa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Flats to the mat! Flats manages to get full guard.
Roa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Flats swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Roa with a flurry of punches that miss.
