The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Hatchett misses with a double jab.

Durbetsalo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

and Durbetsalo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in The Hatchett's guard.

The Hatchett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Durbetsalo gets to his feet - The Hatchett follows without any prompting.
Durbetsalo dives in and grabs The Hatchett's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Hatchett pushes down on Durbetsalo's head and hops out.
The Hatchett swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The Hatchett misses with a jab, cross combination.

Durbetsalo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. The Hatchett tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Durbetsalo is in The Hatchett's guard.
Durbetsalo makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Durbetsalo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of The Hatchett's head.
Durbetsalo wants to get up but he can't break The Hatchett's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Durbetsalo is looking to work some ground and pound but The Hatchett has wrist control.

The Hatchett has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Durbetsalo doesn't defend quickly enough and The Hatchett has managed to lock this one up! Can Durbetsalo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to The Hatchett on a fantastic submission victory.
