PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cain Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramoan Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson misses with an uppercut. Silva saw that one coming.

Ferguson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Silva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ferguson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Silva pushes Ferguson off and scrambles back to his feet.

Ferguson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ferguson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Silva is trying desperately to land a takedown but Ferguson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Silva.

Ferguson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Silva is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ferguson to the mat. Ferguson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ferguson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ferguson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Silva is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ferguson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
