Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Diggs Eugene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Medranda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Diggs Eugene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlos Medranda!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eugene dives in and grabs Medranda's left leg, looking for a takedown. Medranda pushes down on Eugene's head and hops out.
Medranda throws a quick inside leg kick.
Eugene avoids the head kick by Medranda.
Eugene changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Medranda tries to avoid it but Eugene manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Medranda to the ground. Medranda escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Medranda connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Eugene momentarily.
Medranda lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Eugene backs up against the cage.
A combination from Medranda does no damage.
Eugene fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Crunch! Medranda slams his shin into Eugene's torso.
Eugene takes a kick to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Medranda moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Diggs Eugene has been cut.
Eugene closes the distance and clinches up with Medranda, looking for a takedown. Eugene pushes Medranda against the cage but Medranda circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diggs Eugene. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Medranda bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Eugene's head.
Carlos Medranda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eugene shoots for a takedown but Medranda saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Eugene is breathing heavily.
Crunch! Medranda slams his shin into Eugene's torso.
Medranda lands a two punch combo.
Nice shot lands for Medranda.

Eugene takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Sloppy strikes from Eugene. Those never looked like landing.

Medranda dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Eugene is rocked!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Medranda! Eugene is out on his feet! Medranda rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Eugene is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Eugene is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
