PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bunny Ynnub (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Kwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jin Kwon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bunny Ynnub!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jin Kwon!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ynnub misses with a takedown attempt - Kwon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ynnub fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kwon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ynnub cracks a nice hook into Kwon's ribs.
Horrible takedown by Ynnub or perhaps it was just good defense by Kwon which made him look bad.

Bunny Ynnub seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ynnub shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Bunny Ynnub will probably get the nod.

Kwon moves into range and clinches up with Ynnub.
Kwon throws a head punch that misses.
Kwon stops a takedown attempt from Ynnub.
Kwon lands a right hand.
Kwon misses with a punch on the inside.
Kwon tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Kwon scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Ynnub tries to score a body lock takedown but Kwon shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Ynnub has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kwon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

We're going to have a standup here because Bunny Ynnub wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Kwon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ynnub swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ynnub wants to control for a moment but Kwon uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Kwon tries to kick Ynnub off but Ynnub keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That was a close round but Bunny Ynnub did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Kwon pounces like a tiger and cracks Ynnub with a vicious hook! Ynnub is down but not out! Kwon follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
