The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ede throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ede looks to land a combination but Carlos jr avoids it well.
Carlos jr doesn't manage to clinch there - Ede circles away.
Carlos jr walks into a jab.
Carlos jr misses with a takedown attempt - Ede sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ede misses with a straight left.
Carlos jr has a takedown stuffed.
Carlos jr tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ede swivels and escapes.
Steve Ede has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Carlos jr.
Carlos jr avoids a kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carlos jr shoots in looking for a takedown. Ede tries to sprawl out of it but Carlos jr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ede manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Carlos jr gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carlos jr is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ede keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Ede is trying to stand up here but Carlos jr is controlling him well.

Carlos jr seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Ede is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
