Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carter Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ze Minotauro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Sandman by Metallica. Minotauro is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Buckethead - jump man. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minotauro shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Minotauro is trying to control but Johnson manages to pass to mount!

Johnson cracks Minotauro with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Minotauro stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Minotauro is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Minotauro.

Minotauro sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnson's guard.
Minotauro is keen to just control but Johnson is a slippery customer.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carter Johnson.
Well Johnson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
