Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Whitepride Velasquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Goldberg Jr!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Velasquez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Velasquez working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Velasquez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Goldberg Jr has escaped the position, nice work there.
Sloppy strikes there by Velasquez.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Velasquez cracks Goldberg Jr with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Goldberg Jr is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Velasquez is controlling him well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Goldberg Jr is working to avoid the ground and pound but Velasquez connects with a decent elbow.
Goldberg Jr stops Velasquez from passing to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Goldberg Jr is trying to buck Velasquez off.
Velasquez in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Velasquez scores with a couple of short elbows.

Velasquez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Velasquez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Velasquez fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Goldberg Jr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Velasquez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Goldberg Jr tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Goldberg Jr blocking the ground and pound.
Goldberg Jr has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Velasquez misses with punches from the back.
Goldberg Jr holding both Velasquez 's hands and preventing any damage.

Velasquez is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Goldberg Jr has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Velasquez looking for the choke but no joy.

Velasquez is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Goldberg Jr is tapping out! This one is all over!
