The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakutin moves out of range of the body kick from Freeman.
Nakutin avoids the head kick by Freeman.
Freeman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nakutin.

Freeman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nakutin moves away.

Nakutin steps into range and cracks Freeman with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Freeman flops backwards and Nakutin dives into his guard looking to finish!

Freeman is rocked!

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Nakutin controls from within his opponent's guard.
Freeman is still in real trouble! Can Nakutin finish him?
Freeman seems to have recovered his senses.
Nakutin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Martti Nakutin wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Nakutin circles away from the clinch attempt.

Freeman tries to land a front kick but Nakutin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Freeman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nakutin throws a series of punches but Freeman avoids them all with ease.

Freeman takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Freeman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nakutin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nakutin tries a head kick but it misses.
Freeman throws a sloppy head kick and Nakutin moves out of range easily.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Nakutin - that will leave a mark!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A head kick by Nakutin - that's a beauty! Freeman is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Nakutin can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
