The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Williams enables Johnson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Williams manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Johnson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Williams is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Johnson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Johnson cracks Williams with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Johnson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Williams.

Williams throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease.
Johnson swings for the body but Williams moves out of range.
Williams lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively.
Chase Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Williams takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Williams slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Johnson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Williams. Williams circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Johnson is looking to clinch.
Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Williams throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Williams gets tackled into the cage by Johnson. Johnson maintains the clinch.
Williams drops down looking for an ankle pick but Johnson pulls his leg out and moves away.

Johnson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Williams lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Johnson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Williams shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Williams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson tries to land a knee to the head but Williams blocks with his arms.

Johnson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Williams circles away.
Williams goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Johnson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Williams lands a two punch combo.
Johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Williams. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.
Williams lands a glancing blow to the side of Johnson's head.
Williams circles away from the clinch attempt.
Williams lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Johnson backs up against the cage.

A looping hook to the body misses from Johnson. Williams does a little dance to reset his feet.

Johnson moves into range and clinches up with Williams.
