The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oscar Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ryu Silva's guard.

Ryu Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Oscar Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ryu Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Oscar Silva's back instead.
Ryu Silva is trying to stick to Oscar Silva's back but Oscar Silva is turning into Ryu Silva. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Ryu Silva's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Oscar Silva.

Ryu Silva drops back looking for a leg! Oscar Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oscar Silva manages to kick Ryu Silva off! Ryu Silva jumps back into Oscar Silva's guard.

Oscar Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ryu Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Ryu Silva is working to tighten is grip on Oscar Silva's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Oscar Silva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ryu Silva is really squeezing tight and eventually Oscar Silva passes out! Ryu Silva breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
