Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikolay Lobanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Veloso II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lobanov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Primitive. Douglas Veloso II has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lobanov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Veloso II tries for a takedown but Lobanov circles away easily
and Lobanov counters with a nice uppercut.
Veloso II shoots in for a takedown but Lobanov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Veloso II blocks the body kick.
Lobanov throws a lazy uppercut

and Veloso II counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lobanov's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Veloso II wants to pass the guard but Lobanov is keeping the position.
Lobanov seems keen to control Veloso II's posture.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Veloso II drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Veloso II jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Veloso II is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Lobanov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Veloso II can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Veloso II drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lobanov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Veloso II has Lobanov in his guard.

Lobanov is looking to stand up but Veloso II won't let him.

Veloso II is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Lobanov frees his head nicely. Oh but Veloso II has switched to an armbar! Lobanov is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
