The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muromets swinging wildly here.
A left and a right from Helling both land. Nice combination.
It looks like ILja Muromets has been cut.
Helling looks to land a right hand but Muromets moved out of range.
Muromets moves out of range of the strikes.
Helling thows a body shot but no joy.
Helling fails to land with a series of punches.
Helling misses with a jab, cross combination.
Helling avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Muromets fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Helling, pushing him back against the cage.
Muromets pulls guard successfully.
Muromets is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Helling is aware though and is defending well.
Muromets pushes Helling off and scrambles back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Muromets decides to pull guard.
Helling is looking to stand up but Muromets won't let him.

Helling got a little sloppy there for a moment and Muromets has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Helling has managed to get both his arms back between Muromets's legs - danger averted.

Helling decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Muromets, up you get!
Michael Helling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Helling misses with a jab to the body
so Muromets counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Muromets is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Muromets trying to control the position from guard on top but Helling is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Muromets is stalling in the full guard.

Muromets throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Helling works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Helling wants to stand and escape but Muromets is having none of it.
Helling can't keep his opponent in guard - Muromets advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Muromets is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Helling is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Muromets has latched onto it... Big trouble! Muromets pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Helling is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Muromets!
