The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kreiger keeps the fight on the outside.
Man shoots in for a takedown but Kreiger shows good takedown defense.
Mike Kreiger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kreiger is looking to clinch but Man is avoiding it.
Kreiger stuffs the takedown attempt from Man. Man gets slowly back to his feet.
Kreiger throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Man tries to clinch up

and Kreiger counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kreiger.

Kreiger gets to his feet - Man follows without any prompting.
Man looks to clinch

so Kreiger counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kreiger stays in close to Man's body and controls the position.

Man utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Kreiger closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Well, if Kreiger is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kreiger is looking to pass Man's guard but actually Man recovers to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Man wants to stand and escape but Kreiger is having none of it.

Man can't keep his opponent in guard - Kreiger advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Kreiger postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Man to stand up.

Man is staying active underneath Kreiger, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Kreiger closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Man to the mat! Man manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kreiger is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Kreiger loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Kreiger stands and steps away. Man gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Man tries to clinch up

and Kreiger decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Man's guard.
Kreiger controls from within his opponent's guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Mike Kreiger just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Man bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kreiger is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Kreiger pushes Man off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Kreiger is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Man reverses the position - he's now on top in Kreiger's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Man is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Kreiger thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Kreiger misses with a head shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Kreiger really dominated that round.

Man shoots in and bounces Kreiger off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kreiger bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Man's guard.
Man wants to get back to his feet but Kreiger is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kreiger stays in close to Man's body and controls the position.

Kreiger stands up from guard. Let's bang!
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Kreiger takes a swing at Man's ribcage but misses.
Man has his takedown stuffed

so Kreiger counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kreiger stops Man from standing up.
Kreiger trying to control but Man is working from the bottom.
Kreiger is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Man is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kreiger dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Man regains half guard there - taking advantage of Kreiger's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Kreiger stalling.

Kreiger wants to work for an arm triangle but Man is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kreiger has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Man wants to get back to his feet.

Kreiger decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Man wants to clinch up but Kreiger keeps it at a distance.

Man closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Man lands in his opponent's guard.
Kreiger wants to sweep but no luck.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Man wants to stand but Kreiger has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Kreiger avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Kreiger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Man fails with the takedown.
Kreiger throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Kreiger keeps the fight on the outside.
Kreiger tries to clinch up but Man circles away and keeps his distance.

Man darts in and clinches Kreiger up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Man with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Man tries to land a knee to the head but Kreiger blocks with his arms.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Kreiger jumps guard and drags Man to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Man decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Kreiger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Man gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Kreiger counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kreiger uses his free foot to push down on Man's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Man.

Kreiger goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Man turns into him and now he's in Kreiger's guard.

Man stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Man plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Man tries to keep at a distance but Kreiger has taken the fight into the clinch.
Man tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Kreiger works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Kreiger sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Kreiger controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kreiger wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.

Mike Kreiger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kreiger winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
