Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David has chosen Eluveitie - Calling The Rain as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark David!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear misses with a takedown attempt - David sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

David throws a body punch but Bear moves out of range.
David defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bear.

and David counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Horrible takedown by Bear or perhaps it was just good defense by David which made him look bad.
Bear will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

David leaves Bear with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and David connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

David throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bear tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. David is in Bear's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bear fails with a takedown attempt.
David throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bear swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and David counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
David rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Bear counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
David controls Bear momentarily but Bear frees himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bear stands and steps away. David gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Max Bear will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Bear shoots in looking for a takedown. David tries to sprawl out of it but Bear keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. David manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
David looks to score with a jab to the body but Bear is just out of range.

David is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Bear is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute David jumps into side control!

David gets to mount! Bear was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Bear is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
David avoids the attempt from Bear to control.

David tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Mark David has got the better of the ground game so far.
David won't let Bear get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

David can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bear is looking to escape.
David takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bear tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
David breaks from Bear's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark David showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Bear has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. David avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Max Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
David paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and David counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Bear catches David with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Mark David seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bear tries to clinch but David is having none of it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

David smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Bear shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has David pinned against the cage. David gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Max Bear.
Bear throws a series of punches but David moves out of range.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mark David comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well David has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
