The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Destroyer shoots and misses

and Cruz decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Destroyer's guard.
Cruz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Destroyer is proving hard to escape from.

Cruz has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Destroyer has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cruz regains guard immediately.
Cruz really is a fat lump.

Cruz has his foot on Destroyer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Destroyer works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
