Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Masaki Sumitani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mieszko Szczygiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szczygiel keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Szczygiel wants to clinch up but Sumitani keeps it at a distance.
Sumitani buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sumitani fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Sumitani throws a body punch but Szczygiel moves out of range.

Szczygiel drives through with a takedown into Sumitani's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Szczygiel moves in looking to clinch but Sumitani pushes him off.

Szczygiel jumps guard but Sumitani stands there with Szczygiel around his waist. Szczygiel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sumitani wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sumitani has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Szczygiel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Szczygiel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sumitani manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Szczygiel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sumitani was covering up waiting for the punch and Szczygiel finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Sumitani wants to get back to his feet but Szczygiel is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sumitani throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That kick from Sumitani tenderised Szczygiel's leg. Szczygiel is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sumitani bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Sumitani avoids the head kick by Szczygiel.
Szczygiel throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Sumitani throws a front kick aimed at Szczygiel's knee but Szczygiel avoids it well.
Sumitani fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Szczygiel gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Szczygiel turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Szczygiel manages to end up in side control.

Szczygiel has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Sumitani is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Szczygiel yanks on the arm and Sumitani is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Szczygiel.
