Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silver Back (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cross comes to the cage accompanied by The American Dream Song. The crowd seem to be enjoying Back's choice of entrance music: One 24. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Back. Cross does a little dance to reset his feet.
Back moves out of range as Cross throws a body kick.
Back misses with a double jab.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Cross comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
David Cross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Back misses with a takedown attempt - Cross sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Cross sizes up Back with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

That was a close round but I would say that David Cross will probably get the nod.

Silver Back showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Back connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cross. Cross circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Back throws a looping overhand right but Cross ducks down to avoid it.

Silver Back comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Back has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
