The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stryker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gubiev circles away quickly and effectively.
Gubiev swings away with a body shot that misses
and Stryker counters with a left and a right that stings Gubiev.
Sloppy strikes from Stryker. Those never looked like landing.
Stryker lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gubiev backs up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gubiev tries for a takedown but Stryker circles away easily
and Stryker counters with a left to the body.
Stryker looks for the body kick but Gubiev saw that one coming.
Stryker scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gubiev misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Stryker counters with a nice uppercut.
Gubiev looks gassed!
Gubiev misses with a hook
and Stryker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stryker thuds a left hand into Gubiev's body.
Stryker scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gubiev has eaten all the pies!
Stryker fails to land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gubiev needs to keep his hands up - Stryker had a free shot at his head there.
Stryker fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Stryker lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gubiev backs up against the cage.
Stryker connects with an inside leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stryker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That kick from Stryker tenderised Gubiev's leg. Gubiev is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gubiev gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Danga de danga de dang - Stryker scores with a four punch combination!

Gubiev is rocked!
Stryker dances in with a quick combination. Gubiev is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Stryker snaps Gubiev's head back. Gubiev stumbles backwards against the cage. Stryker steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Gubiev's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Gubiev just didn't come prepared.
