Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Kronburger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gomer Pyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kronburger comes to the cage accompanied by Can't back down. Pyle has chosen The Marines' Hymn as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pyle shoots and misses
and Kronburger counters with a left to the body.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Pyle tries to clinch up but Kronburger circles away and keeps his distance.
A low kick from Pyle is predictable there
and Kronburger makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kronburger throws a push kick but Pyle slaps the foot to one side.

Kronburger rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pyle connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Pyle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kronburger circles away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pyle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kronburger tries to avoid it but Pyle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kronburger to the ground. Kronburger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pyle tries to free his leg and advance position but Kronburger is retaining full guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pyle lands a nice short elbow.
Kronburger is refusing to be controlled, as Pyle sits in half guard.
Kronburger tries to get to full guard but Pyle has control of the leg.
Pyle is taking a breather. Kronburger says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kronburger wants to control but Pyle is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Pyle seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kronburger does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Pyle throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Pyle thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kronburger's head.
