The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Vaara does no damage.
Thomas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vaara manages to avoid it.
Vaara is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thomas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Thomas thumps Vaara with a low kick.
Thomas takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Vaara shoots in but Thomas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Vaara shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thomas sprawls well. Thomas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vaara gets slowly back to his feet.
Tucker Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rauta Vaara.
A head kick by Vaara misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Vaara feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Thomas's calf.
Thomas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thomas cracks Vaara with a right hand to the side of the head.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Thomas.
Vaara looks gassed!
Thomas throws a good cross that connects.

Vaara shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thomas pinned against the cage. Thomas gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Thomas throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Thomas lands a nice looking body shot.

Thomas lands with a shot to the body.
Thomas jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Thomas circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Vaara drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Thomas follows Vaara to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
