Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nante Navetta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Finley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Navetta comes to the cage accompanied by Roger Allan Wade - If You're Gonna Be Dumb. The crowd seem to be enjoying Finley's choice of entrance music: Bitch/Lover. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Navetta.
Finley throws a combination that misses
and Navetta counters with a body kick that stops Finley in his tracks momentarily.
Finley shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Navetta holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Finley tries for a takedown but Navetta manages to get underhooks.

Finley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Navetta throws a quick inside leg kick.

Finley looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Finley's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Navetta wants to stand and escape but Finley is having none of it.
Finley passes Navetta's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Navetta pushes Finley off looking to stand but Finley dives back in and keeps control.

Navetta knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Finley on the ground.
Finley frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Finley is on top in guard.
Finley passes Navetta's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Finley looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Navetta with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Finley is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Finley wants to control the pace but Navetta is squirming around nicely.
Finley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
