Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rotte DeMauler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen "The Hunter" by Persuader as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeMauler misses with a series of wild punches.
Gracie looks to land a left hand but DeMauler moved out of range nicely.
Gracie misses with a body shot.
DeMauler misses with a straight right.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as DeMauler sprawls well. DeMauler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
DeMauler scores with a head kick. Gracie tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Carlos Gracie has been cut.
Gracie takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
DeMauler lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Gracie gets the takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gracie misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie looking to punish the body of his opponent here but DeMauler is avoiding damage well.

BOOM! Gracie connects with a massive shot to the dome!
DeMauler bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gracie is looking for a triangle but DeMauler pushes his legs off easily.

Gracie has a closed guard, preventing DeMauler from standing up.
DeMauler is looking to work some ground and pound but Gracie has wrist control.
Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. DeMauler manages to get himself to full guard.
Gracie passes DeMauler's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Gracie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks DeMauler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
DeMauler is not content to let Gracie control the position.
Gracie lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but DeMauler keeps working.

Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but DeMauler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Gracie throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and DeMauler works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

DeMauler is breathing heavily.
Gracie loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have DeMauler scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Gracie land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Gracie stands and salutes the crowd.
