Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Nowak counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Nowak controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nowak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Nowak passes Khan's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Nowak decides to stand and escape the position.
Nowak throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Nowak takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Nowak clinches with his opponent.

Nowak breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Nowak closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Khan did well to prevent Nowak getting side control.
Khan is pressing down on Nowak's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Khan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Nowak is looking to escape.
Khan slows the pace down in half guard.
Khan is trying to control the action in half guard but Nowak is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Khan throws a strike but Nowak avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Khan looking to sit in guard and control but Nowak gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Khan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Khan pulls Nowak in close to prevent any damage.
Nowak showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kam Khan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Nowak bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Khan tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Nowak presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Khan looks gassed!

Khan tries to improve his position but Nowak has taken his back! Nowak has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Khan tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Nowak pushes Khan away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
