The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce cracks a nice hook into Lannister's ribs.
Pierce throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Pierce works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Pierce looks to land a left hand but Lannister moved out of range nicely.
Lannister tries to close the distance and clinch but Pierce swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Pierce throws a jab but it's blocked by Lannister.

Pierce throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lannister stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Pierce misses the shot to the body.
Pierce throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice uppercut lands for Pierce. That snapped Lannister's head back.
Koufax Pierce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pierce throws a hook but Lannister blocks it.
Pierce has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Lannister shoots for a double leg takedown but Pierce sprawls well. He's pushed Lannister's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Pierce ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lannister moves away.
No joy there for Pierce, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pierce swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Lannister counters with a shoot takedown. Pierce fights it but they end up in guard.
Lannister postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lannister seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lannister drops back looking for a leg! Pierce is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pierce manages to kick Lannister off! Lannister jumps back into Pierce's guard.
Lannister passes Pierce's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Koufax Pierce has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pierce keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Lannister uses his free foot to push down on Pierce's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pierce.

Lannister has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pierce's face.
Lannister lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Lannister cracks Pierce with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pierce is bucking up trying to escape but Lannister cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tyrion Lannister.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lannister, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
