The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Sevestan misses the target.
Sevestan dives in and grabs Machida's left leg, looking for a takedown. Machida pushes down on Sevestan 's head and hops out.
Machida connects with a leg kick. Sevestan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Machida moves in looking to clinch but Sevestan pushes him off.

Sevestan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Machida has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sevestan has managed to get both his arms back between Machida's legs - danger averted.
Machida looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Machida wants to sweep but no luck.
Machida is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Machida will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Machida has his feet on Sevestan 's thighs here. He's pushed Sevestan off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Sevestan screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
