Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Omi Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dat Sik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Omi Sakurai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Dat Sik!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakurai keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sik throws a jab when Sakurai was well out of range.
Sakurai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sik instigates a clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Sakurai misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Sik.
Sakurai throws an elbow but it misses.
The referee is keeping an eye on Sakurai - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Sakurai misses with a knee strike.
Sakurai lands a knee to the head.
Sik misses with some punches.
Sik trying to land knees to the body.
Sik fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Sik lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sakurai backwards.

Sik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sik swings for the body but Sakurai moves out of range.
Sik misses with an uppercut. Sakurai saw that one coming.

Sakurai moves into the clinch.
Sik throws a punch but it's blocked by Sakurai.
Sik lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Sik lands a left hand.
Sik tries a body shot but Sakurai blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sik lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sakurai backwards.

Sik has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sakurai is trying to keep an underhook but Sik manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Sik is looking for a kimura but Sakurai is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sik to get the leverage.
Sik is nestled in close to Sakurai, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sik is thwarting Sakurai's attempts to control the position.
Sakurai won't allow Sik to pass to mount.
Sakurai makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sakurai.
Sakurai bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sik's guard.
Sik wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Sakurai throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sik works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Sakurai wants to pass the guard but Sik is keeping the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Sakurai forces his way into half guard.
Sik keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Sik is trying to get back to full guard.

Sakurai looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sakurai wants to control but Sik is keeping him busy.

Sakurai not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Sik is not content to let Sakurai control the position.
Sakurai with the ground and pound but Sik uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Sakurai wants to control from the top but Sik keeps moving.
Sik looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sakurai is one step ahead there.

Sakurai has gone for a leg lock! Sik slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sakurai's guard.

Sakurai working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sik manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sik stands up over Sakurai, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Sakurai wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Sik drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sik jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sakurai is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sik moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Sakurai fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sik manages to avoid it.
Dat Sik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Omi Sakurai has been cut.
Sik throws a body punch but Sakurai moves out of range.
Sik takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The crowd cheers as Sik lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sakurai doesn't seem phased though.

Sakurai closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sakurai lands in his opponent's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Omi Sakurai will probably get the nod.

Oh Sakurai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sakurai throws the left hand but Sik avoids the punch easily.
Sik cracks Sakurai with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Sakurai falls to his knees and Sik doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dat Sik!
