Janssen comes to the ring accompanied by DJ Madman - Meisje zo lelijk als de nacht . Jan Janssen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravo closes the distance looking to clinch

and Janssen counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Janssen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bravo is keeping the position for now.
Bravo is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Johny Bravo was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bravo closes the distance but Janssen moves to the side

and Janssen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bravo won't be happy with that.

Janssen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bravo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Bravo is looking to regain half guard here but Janssen keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Janssen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bravo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bravo prevents Janssen from improving position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Janssen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Bravo pushes Janssen away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Janssen gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Janssen goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bravo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Janssen but great work by Bravo.

Janssen manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Bravo has left one of his arms exposed and Janssen doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Bravo screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
