Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitriy Kosarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franco Colombo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kosarev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Colombo as he avoids it easily.

Kosarev bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Colombo tries to improve position but can't.
Kosarev slows the pace down.

Kosarev decides to take the fight back to the feet.

and Kosarev counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Kosarev engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kosarev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kosarev stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Kosarev shoots in looking for a takedown but Colombo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kosarev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Colombo tries to clinch but Kosarev moves away

and Kosarev counters by clinching up.
Colombo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kosarev walks away with a smile on his face. Colombo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kosarev shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kosarev controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kosarev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kosarev slips nicely into half guard.
Kosarev lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Kosarev stalling.
Colombo trying to control but Kosarev postures up.
Colombo tries to roll over but Kosarev keeps him under control.
Kosarev thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Colombo's head.
Kosarev scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kosarev gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Colombo scores with a nice strike.

It looks like Dmitriy Kosarev has been cut.
Kosarev shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dmitriy Kosarev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kosarev is breathing heavily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kosarev is defended easily by Colombo.
Kosarev walks straight into a right hand from Colombo - that's dropped him! Colombo jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Kosarev from any more punishment! Kosarev complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
