PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcel Bhering (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Moreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bhering's entrance music is WISHMASTER. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreira on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Bhering shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bhering scoring with strikes but Moreira is staying in there.
Moreira is trying to escape the mount.
Moreira is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Bhering looking for a guillotine from mount but Moreira is having none of it.
Bhering tries to control but Moreira wriggling away.
Bhering is really struggling to control Moreira but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Moreira is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bhering is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Moreira can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
A nice elbow there by Bhering.

Bhering has control of Moreira's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Moreira regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Moreira is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Bhering takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Moreira sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Moreira is pressing down on Bhering's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bhering thows a big elbow that misses.
Moreira lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bhering!

Bhering is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Bhering is breathing heavily.

Moreira has control of Bhering's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bhering regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Moreira is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bhering has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Bhering is trying to stand up.

Moreira working for a submission but Bhering is keeping him at bay.
Bhering is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moreira is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bhering can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Moreira works his way to his opponent's back.

Moreira is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Bhering has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Moreira has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Bhering taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Moreira doesn't care though - he's delighted!
