The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xiao Hu wants to clinch
and Savage counters with a shoot takedown. Xiao Hu fights it but they end up in guard.
Savage drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Savage jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Savage drops back looking for a leg! Xiao Hu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Xiao Hu manages to kick Savage off! Savage jumps back into Xiao Hu's guard.
Savage passes Xiao Hu's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Savage is looking for a kimura but Xiao Hu is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Savage to get the leverage.
Savage is trying for a kimura here. Xiao Hu looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Savage wins by kimura!
