Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mick Frey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Bodies as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mick Frey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anderson Silva!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frey on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Frey throws a head kick that misses
and Silva counters with a nice uppercut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Frey.
Silva uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Frey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely.
Frey takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Frey swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Silva counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Frey is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Frey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.

Silva moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Frey tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Frey takes an elbow to the temple.

Frey shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Frey, up you get!
Silva has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Frey tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Mick Frey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Silva connects with a leg kick. Frey looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Silva darts in and clinches Frey up against the cage.

Silva pushes off an throws an elbow but Frey leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Silva digs a right hand into Frey's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Frey's gas tank.
