Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean claude Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reed has chosen LAX Files-The Game as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Trey Reed was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Sherk as he checks the leg kick.
Sherk avoids a punch combination nicely.

Sherk closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sherk tries to advance to mount but can't.
Sherk in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Sherk tries for a kimura but Reed is defending well.
Sherk advances to mount.

Sherk is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Reed can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Reed has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Sherk is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Reed is defending well though. Sherk let's go of the attempt for now.
Sherk really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Reed.

Sherk is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Reed defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Sherk is breathing heavily.

Sherk is looking for the choke from the back position but Reed is controlling his hands well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reed wants to get back to his feet.

Sherk has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Reed has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Reed is keeping busy.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Sherk is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Reed is trying to get back to his feet but Sherk has full control of the position and if anything, Reed has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Reed is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Sherk gets his way!

Sherk is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Reed with him. Reed is trying to defend but Sherk has an arm under the chin now! Reed grimaces and is forced to tap out!
