Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shinji Yamaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derric Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Yamaru might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rising. Rose has chosen Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yamaru gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Rose to counter with a crisp jab.
Yamaru misses with a takedown
and Rose decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Yamaru's guard.
Yamaru working for a triangle but Rose defends it easily.
Rose stands and throws Yamaru's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Rose content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Yamaru is looking for a sweep.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rose pushes Yamaru off and gets back to his feet.

Derric Rose showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Yamaru has his takedown stuffed
and Rose counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Rose closes the distance and pushes Yamaru back into the cage.
Yamaru drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rose gets the underhooks and prevents it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rose jumps guard and drags Yamaru to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rose can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rose is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Yamaru dives into side control.

Derric Rose comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rose has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
