Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mort Goldman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silas Mayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goldman comes to the cage accompanied by Thunder Kiss 65. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayne fails with a takedown attempt.
Mayne tries to clinch up but Goldman circles away and keeps his distance.
Mayne looks to land a body kick but Goldman moved away.
Goldman misses with a series of wild punches.

Goldman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Goldman showed some decent athleticism there.
Mayne tries to get to full guard but Goldman has control of the leg.
Goldman trying to mount his opponent but Mayne defends it.

Goldman is looking for a kimura but Mayne is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Goldman to get the leverage.

Goldman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Goldman seems to be looking for submissions.

Goldman content to control rather than advance.

Goldman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mayne is just riding it out for now. Goldman eventually gives up the hold.
Mayne is looking for a sweep. Goldman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Goldman seems to be working for a kimura but Mayne defends the submission attempt.
Mayne looks like he's trying to stand up.
Mayne punching from the bottom.
Mayne wants to get back to full guard.
Goldman is thwarting Mayne's attempts to control the position.
Goldman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mayne keeps control of the position for the meantime.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Mayne gets a clinch.
Mayne gets underhooks to prevent Goldman's takedown attempt.

Goldman turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Goldman manages to end up in side control.
Mayne looks to move to half guard but instead Goldman has passed into mount! Damn!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goldman is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mayne has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Mayne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goldman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mayne tries to hold on but Goldman postures up.
Mayne has given up his back.

Goldman working for a choke but Mayne is defending well.
Goldman is breathing heavily.
Mayne just trying to survive but Goldman is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Goldman working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Mayne wants to escape the position.

Mayne breaks Goldman's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mayne stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Mayne will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mayne looks to land a combination but Goldman avoids it well.
A decent looking cross lands there for Goldman.
Mayne tries to clinch up but Goldman circles away and keeps his distance.
Goldman shoots in looking for a takedown. Mayne tries to sprawl out of it but Goldman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mayne manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Goldman misses with a takedown attempt - Mayne sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mort Goldman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Goldman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mayne's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Goldman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Goldman slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Goldman misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mort Goldman dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Mayne tries a head kick but it misses.
Goldman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Goldman lands with a straight right. Mayne didn't see that one coming.

Goldman scores a takedown into full mount!
Goldman trying to control but Mayne is having none of it.
Mayne is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Mayne is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mort Goldman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee warns Mayne that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Mayne takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
BOOM! Goldman connects with a massive shot to the dome!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mayne can do anything to dispel that myth.

Goldman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mayne manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Goldman has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Mayne!
Mayne tries to lock up and control but Goldman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mayne tries to reverse the position but Goldman maintains control.

Goldman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mayne is looking to escape.

Goldman working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Mayne turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Goldman off and cradles Mayne's limp body as Goldman celebrates with his corner.
