Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karch Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Puckerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noah Puckerman will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Karch Griffin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Noah Puckerman!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puckerman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Griffin tries for a takedown but Puckerman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Griffin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Puckerman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Griffin somewhat.
Griffin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Puckerman is fending him off so far but Griffin persists. Nope, Puckerman circles away and we're back to standing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Puckerman feints and then cracks Griffin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Griffin down.

Griffin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Puckerman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Griffin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Puckerman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Griffin has Puckerman in his guard.

Puckerman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Griffin sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Puckerman counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Puckerman cracks Griffin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

It looks like Karch Griffin has been cut.
Griffin shoots in but Puckerman avoids the takedown attempt easily.

A jab from Puckerman finds it's way through Griffin's defenses.
Puckerman ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Noah Puckerman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Griffin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Puckerman has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Puckerman!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Puckerman lands with an uppercut that bounces Griffin off the cage and back into rage.
Griffin shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Puckerman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Puckerman lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Griffin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Griffin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Puckerman has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Puckerman!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Griffin tries to roll over but Puckerman keeps him under control.

Puckerman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Puckerman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Griffin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Puckerman has managed to get both his arms back between Griffin's legs - danger averted.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Griffin looking for a sweep. Not yet Griffin, not yet.
Puckerman would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Puckerman controls from within his opponent's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Griffin is looking for a triangle but Puckerman pushes his legs off easily.
Puckerman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

I've got Puckerman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
