The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlito feints and then cracks Overeem's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Overeem down.
Overeem with a lazy takedown attempt
and Carlito counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Overeem is breathing heavily.
Carlito wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carlito throws a series of punches but Overeem avoids them all with ease.

Carlito lands a big head kick that sends Overeem tumbling to the mat! Carlito takes a step backwards and waves Overeem back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Overeem is rocked!

It looks like Reem Overeem has been cut.
Carlito throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oh Overeem is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carlito comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Overeem backs away from a small jab...but Carlito lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Overeem crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Carlito with a spectacular finish!
