Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Biff Rydberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stanley Stuus!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rydberg tries to clinch up
and Stuus counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rydberg thinking.
Rydberg comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rydberg throws a body punch but Stuus moves out of range.
Rydberg looks to throw the jab but Stuus is out of range.
Rydberg throws a body punch but Stuus moves out of range.
Rydberg tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stuus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rydberg swings widly with a right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Stuus tries a head kick but it misses.

Rydberg throws a lazy uppercut
and Stuus makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Rydberg scores with a jab.
Rydberg bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Rydberg moves out of range as Stuus throws a body kick.
Rydberg tries to clinch but Stuus is having none of it.
Rydberg tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stuus was well out of range. Poor timing from Rydberg.
Rydberg misses with a left hand
and Stuus counters with a good low kick that Rydberg was not able to check.
Rydberg moves in looking to clinch but Stuus pushes him off.
Stuus throws a body punch but Rydberg moves out of range.

A looping hook to the body misses from Rydberg. Stuus does a little dance to reset his feet.
Stuus throws a push kick but Rydberg slaps the foot to one side.
Rydberg wants to clinch
and Stuus counters with a left to the body.
Nice shot by Rydberg.
Rydberg scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stuus doesn't seem bothered though.
Stuus jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Stuus throws a sloppy head kick and Rydberg moves out of range easily.
Rydberg looks to score with a jab to the body but Stuus is just out of range.

Rydberg digs a good body shot into Stuus's ribs.
Rydberg wants to clinch
and Stuus makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Rydberg really felt that one!
Rydberg is looking to wear down Stuus with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Stuus circles away from the clinch attempt
and Stuus counters with an outside leg kick.
Rydberg is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
A jab lands there for Stuus.
Stuus throws the kick towards the body but Rydberg avoids it.
Stuus keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Rydberg catches Stuus with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Stuus counters with a nice body shot.

That's time! Rydberg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Rydberg tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Stuus decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rydberg's guard.
Stuus makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Rydberg is trying to keep Stuus in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rydberg keeping moving, preventing Stuus from controlling successfully.
Stuus trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Stuus slips nicely into half guard.
Stuus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Stuus is trying to work for a kimura but Rydberg is defending well.
Rydberg moves into full guard.
Stuus advances position into side control!
Rydberg manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Stuus thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Stuus wants to control but Rydberg is keeping him busy.

Rydberg regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Stuus.
Stuus forces his way into half guard.
Stuus controlling the action here.

Rydberg kicks Stuus off and gets back to his feet.
Rydberg lands a really nice looking cross but Stuus seems unphased.

Rydberg is looking to clinch.
Rydberg lands with a cross.
Rydberg tries to clinch up.
Nice jab there from Rydberg.
Stuus swats away the attempt to clinch by Rydberg.

and Stuus counters with a nice uppercut.

Rydberg moves out of range of the body kick from Stuus.
Rydberg chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Stuus can pounce on him.
Rydberg clobbers Stuus with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Biff Rydberg is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rydberg throws a right hand that misses
and Stuus counters with a low kick, right behind Rydberg 's knee.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stuus throws a right hand that Rydberg ducks under and follows up with a left that Rydberg also avoids with ease.
Rydberg misses with a lunging right hand
and Stuus counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nice straight punches there by Stuus. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Stuus.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stanley Stuus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Stuus's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Stuus blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Rydberg throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stuus sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Rydberg throws a lazy right hand but Stuus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Rydberg rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Stuus counters with a nice body shot.
Stanley Stuus seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Stuus lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rydberg's sensitive parts.

Stuus punishes Rydberg's body with a nice straight punch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Rydberg wants to clinch but Stuus slips to the side
and Stuus makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Stuus counters with a series of strikes. Rydberg will be more careful next time no doubt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rydberg connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stuus. Stuus circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Stuus swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stuus lands a nice looking kick to the body. Rydberg takes a step back to recover.
Biff Rydberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stuus circles away from the clinch attempt
and Stuus counters with a body kick that stops Rydberg in his tracks momentarily.

Rydberg stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rydberg wants it to stay on the feet.
Rydberg avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Stuus misses with a hook to the body
and Rydberg counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Stuus throws a right hand that Rydberg ducks under and follows up with a left that Rydberg also avoids with ease.
Rydberg tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Stuus manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rydberg fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Rydberg closes the distance but Stuus moves to the side
and Stuus counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rydberg throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rydberg is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Stuus steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rydberg.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Stuus counters with a thumping low kick.
Stanley Stuus is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Rydberg throws a lazy uppercut

and Stuus counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rydberg won't be happy with that.

Stanley Stuus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Stuus winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
