Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Uriah Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Schwetty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pete Schwetty will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Uriah Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Schwetty!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwetty throws a right and a left that both miss.
Schwetty throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.
Pete Schwetty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schwetty tries to land a leg kick but Jones saw it coming and moves away.

Jones drives through with a takedown into Schwetty's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Jones postures up in Schwetty's guard and throws a big left but Schwetty blocks it.

Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Schwetty avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Schwetty wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it.

Jones cracks Schwetty with a solid left hand.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Schwetty works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Schwetty is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jones jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Schwetty manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Jones throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Jones stands up and beckons Schwetty to his feet.
Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Schwetty sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Jones works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Schwetty is looking to stand back up but Jones counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Schwetty.

Schwetty looks gassed!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Schwetty's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Uriah Jones dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Jones counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Schwetty's guard now.
Schwetty utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard.

Schwetty is striking off his back. Jones thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

Jones seems to be looking for submissions.
Jones is keen to just control but Schwetty is a slippery customer.
Jones lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Jones wants to take a breather but Schwetty is having none of it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. Schwetty fights it but they end up in guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jones lands a nice short elbow.

Jones is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Schwetty can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Jones has control of Schwetty's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Schwetty regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Schwetty can do to turn this around?

Jones working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Schwetty turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Jones off and cradles Schwetty's limp body as Jones celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 4, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Uriah Jones!
