Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Dirt Magurt!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Magurt gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Magurt creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Conroy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Magurt just stands there and leans against the cage.

Conroy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Conroy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Magurt will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Conroy up against the cage.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Conroy is really struggling to control Magurt but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Conroy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Magurt is just riding it out for now. Conroy eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Magurt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Conroy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Magurt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Conroy swings around for an armbar but Magurt sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Conroy's guard.

Conroy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Conroy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Magurt is trying to stand up here but Conroy is controlling him well.

Magurt is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Conroy is looking to take a break and control but Magurt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Victor Conroy.
Magurt lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Victor Conroy.
I think Conroy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
