Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kerry Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niko Tresh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward comes to the cage accompanied by People are strange by The Doors . I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward misses with a double jab

and Tresh counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Ward pushes Tresh off looking to stand but Tresh dives back in and keeps control.
Ward is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tresh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tresh's back!
Tresh finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes.

Ward goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Tresh is on top in guard.
Tresh pushing down on Ward's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Ward is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Tresh drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ward looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ward looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ward!

Tresh avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ward.
Tresh is trying to control Ward's posture but Ward avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tresh is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Ward wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Tresh uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Ward wants to stand but Tresh is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ward throws a big right hand that misses.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ward is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tresh is controlling him.

Ward looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ward wants to hit a switch here but Tresh passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ward there!

Tresh wants to finish this one by submission but Ward is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Tresh.
Ward might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Tresh throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Tresh wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Ward is looking to get to half guard.
Ward tries to control the position but Tresh now has his back.

Ward preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Tresh.

Tresh is persistently looking for the submission but Ward is defending it well.

Ward is keeping busy.

Ward is in a bad position with Tresh working for a choke. Ward manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Tresh throws a series of punches but Ward moves out of range.

Ward closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ward blocks the strikes from Tresh.

Ward wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Tresh uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Tresh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ward gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ward wants to control from the top but Tresh keeps moving.

Ward slips nicely into half guard.

Ward decides to stand and escape the position.
Ward darts in trying to clinch
and Ward takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ward misses with a lunging right hand
and Tresh counters with a two punch combo.

and Tresh decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ward's guard.

Tresh is standing up over Ward. Ward looks to escape but Tresh dives into side control.
Ward wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Tresh has an Americana. Ward didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Tresh is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Tresh hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
