Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max McRiot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pentti Pena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McRiot kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is None. Pentti Pena will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pena drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

McRiot working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pena doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pena manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pena with a flurry of punches that miss.
Pena postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McRiot has momentary wrist control but Pena slips an elbow through the middle.

Pena thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pena must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

McRiot is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

McRiot has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

McRiot loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Pena scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from McRiot land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. McRiot stands and salutes the crowd.
