Vargas has managed to clinch.
Vargas works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Linhaeres is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Linhaeres wants a takedown.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Vargas just misses with a elbow thrown towards Linhaeres's brow.
Vargas is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Linhaeres tightens his grip and picks Vargas up, before dumping him to the ground. Vargas manages to land in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Linhaeres forces his way into half guard.

Linhaeres seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Linhaeres throwing shots but Vargas is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Linhaeres thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vargas's head.
Linhaeres has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
