Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broadeux lunges at Piotrowski with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Piotrowski's hand.
Piotrowski shoots in but no luck this time.
Broadeux drives through with a takedown into guard.
Broadeux is looking to work some ground and pound but Piotrowski has wrist control.
Broadeux wants to get up but he can't break Piotrowski's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Piotrowski bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Broadeux's guard.

Piotrowski wants to control from the top but Broadeux keeps moving.
Broadeux is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Robert Piotrowski will probably get the nod.

Piotrowski closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Broadeux to the mat! Broadeux manages to get full guard.
Piotrowski looking to sit in guard and control but Broadeux gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Piotrowski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Broadeux gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Piotrowski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Broadeux gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Broadeux decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Broadeux misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Broadeux shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Piotrowski's guard.
Broadeux stands and steps away. Piotrowski gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Piotrowski decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Piotrowski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Broadeux keeps working.
Piotrowski is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Piotrowski prevents Broadeux from improving his position.
Piotrowski looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Broadeux wants to control but Piotrowski is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Piotrowski seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Broadeux is holding on tight.
Piotrowski swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Broadeux is now in Piotrowski's guard. A big mistake from Piotrowski there, giving up the dominant position!

You get the feeling that Piotrowski really doesn't like being in this position too much.
