PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Goran Spaten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josip Tukic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spaten comes to the ring accompanied by Check Yo' Self before you Wreck Yo' Self by Ice Cube. Tukic has chosen indestructible as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tukic throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Spaten counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Tukic takes an elbow to the forehead.
Tukic looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Tukic lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Tukic is trying to break free.
Spaten scores with a hook to the body.
Tukic fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Spaten tries for a takedown but Tukic manages to get underhooks.

Spaten wants the takedown. Tukic is fighting it off but Spaten persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tukic's guard against the ropes.

Spaten pushes down on Tukic's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Spaten in particular looking to stall.

Spaten wants to work for an arm triangle but Tukic is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Spaten wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tukic keeps working.

Spaten has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Spaten is working to tighten is grip on Tukic's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Tukic has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Spaten is really squeezing tight and eventually Tukic passes out! Spaten breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
