Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johny Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - Fuel. Johny Walker has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Johny Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Askren!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker throws a lazy uppercut

and Askren counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Askren prevents Walker from getting back to his feet.
Askren trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Walker is looking to stand up but Askren isn't so interested in that idea.
Askren loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Askren decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Askren sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Askren is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Walker has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Walker!

Askren is trying hard to land a takedown here. Walker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Johny Walker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Askren.
Askren tries to score a power double leg takedown but Walker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Askren somewhat.
Johny Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Askren.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Askren throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Walker's waist but Walker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Askren off to one side.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
