Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Recoome Likum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Huerte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huerte has chosen Master of Puppets as his entrance music. Recoome Likum looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huerte throws a sloppy head kick and Likum moves out of range easily.

Likum gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Huerte wants to stall.
Likum prevents Huerte from breaking the clinch.
Likum tries to pull guard but Huerte holds him up against the cage and eventually Likum drops back down to his feet.
Likum keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Huerte's efforts to push away.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Huerte.
Huerte tries to land a knee to the head but Likum blocks with his arms.
Huerte is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Likum manages to break the clinch.

Likum closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Huerte quickly recovers to half guard.
Huerte is looking to get back to is feet but Likum passes into side control.
Huerte can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Likum stands up and we're back to a striking position.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Huerte tries to break free but Likum pushes him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Huerte's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Likum ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Likum no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Huerte is looking to work some ground and pound but Likum has wrist control.
Huerte must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Likum tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Huerte smiles and moves away.

Likum is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

and Likum decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Huerte's guard.

Likum lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Huerte!
Likum takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Likum prevents Huerte from getting the reversal.
Likum trying to control but Huerte is having none of it.
Huerte tries to lock up and control but Likum gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Likum wants to control the pace but Huerte is squirming around nicely.
Huerte really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Likum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Huerte swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Huerte is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Likum wants to control the pace but Huerte is squirming around nicely.

Likum jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Huerte manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Huerte might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Likum kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Huerte is trying to get back to half guard.
Likum works to advance to full mount. Huerte defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Huerte is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Likum throwing strikes here but Huerte is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Likum trying to control but he's not successful this time.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Likum slips a jab and a cross from Huerte.
Recoome Likum is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Likum counters with a shoot takedown. Huerte fights it but they end up in guard.
Likum throws and elbow that misses. Huerte uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Likum's guard. Nice move by Huerte!

Huerte drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Likum manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Huerte has Likum in his guard.

Huerte wants to get back to his feet.
Likum takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Huerte is looking to control Likum's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Huerte avoid being mounted?
Huerte is trying to escape back to his feet but Likum uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Likum tries to score with some ground and pound. Huerte controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Likum sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Huerte is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Likum looking to hold on to the position here but Huerte rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Likum slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Recoome Likum wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Roger Huerte has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Recoome Likum is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Likum here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
