The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Creed lands an impressive looking overhand right. Crawley doesn't seem phased though.
Crawley tries to bum rush Creed with a series of wild strikes but Creed uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Crawley drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Apollo Creed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Creed pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Crawley back to the cage. Creed follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Crawley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Creed throws out the jab.

Creed clobbers Crawley with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
