Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Karl Istaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent LaCroix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vincent LaCroix is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Istaz forces LaCroix back against the cage and clinches.
LaCroix's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Istaz is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. LaCroix is defending well for now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Istaz has dropped down and is working for a takedown. LaCroix is trying to keep an underhook but Istaz manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

LaCroix is working to avoid the ground and pound but Istaz connects with a decent elbow.

The referee asks Istaz politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Istaz prefers to stall for the moment though.

Istaz cracks LaCroix with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Istaz immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! LaCroix is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Istaz!
